Horoscope for April 11-17

Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Headstrong Aries, please have some patience with yourself and other people this week. People who live with you and those who work with you may all be unsure of how to behave around you because you are quick to react. If you have been making changes at home or work, you may not be entirely happy with the results yet. Part of the feeling that something is not quite right comes from unrealistic expectations or a lack of clarity in how you imagine things should be. Instead of pointing fingers or complaining, connect with your inner self and allow some creativity and imagination to flow. Laughter and play can work miracles for you and make people more cooperative. The middle of the week holds some highly productive energy for you. Imagine you are acting in a play called "My Life" and performing in front of an audience. Would you dress up more? Smile more? Complain less? How can you give your best performance? The full moon in your 7th house of relationship helps you define boundaries and find balance in relationship or acknowledge your own shadow side.

Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
"Is anybody listening to me?" could be your lament at the beginning of the week, Taurus. It's not just your imagination or Mercury retrograde that make communication feel difficult. There are some tough but short-lived aspects to communication houses in your chart. If you happen to be a writer, it is not the time to submit manuscripts. It is also not the time to buy tickets for a long-dreamed-of trip to a foreign country. I believe there is a perfect order to everything, so there must be a good reason the planets are inclining you to think and rethink, explore options, and enjoy the pleasures of home rather than scurry about. Family and friends are there for you and keep your frame of mind positive. Just before the weekend, something good happens when the energy shifts forward, communication and creativity flow, and you say, "Now things are looking up." One of the rules of manifestation is that we can specify the "what," but we can't always control the "when" or "how" of what we wish to receive. The full moon this weekend in your 6th house of health, service, and work may help you see the correlation between your health and your thoughts and beliefs. You could decide to explore alternative healing methods. If work is an issue, then you may want to meditate on your life purpose or integrate your spirituality into your job.

Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Delays in business or money affairs can be frustrating at the start of your week, Gemini. Even though retrograde Mercury is in the fire sign of Aries, it is your ruling planet, so you could be feeling its effects more keenly than some of the other signs. The early blockages may actually lead to you stretching your mind a bit further. If you can do something the way you would like to, maybe there is a better way to be found! Imagination and creativity keep you busy with new ideas and presentations. You may throw too many balls in the air at once and find that a new work routine affects your home routine, as well. Items can get misplaced or appointment times forgotten while your mind is busy with other, more interesting things than the mundane chores of daily living. The full moon this weekend falls in your 5th house of creativity, play, children, and romance. You may already be showcasing your talents and making money doing something creative. Do you take your creativity seriously? How can you stand out and be exclusive or make a name for yourself in your field, or how can you be the field itself? For instance, can you be an artist or an artist who owns a gallery? An actor or the owner of a theatrical production company? Think outside of your own self-defined creative limitations.

Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
All areas of your life are filtered through your "I" as the week begins, Cancer. The moon in your 1st house requires that you consider your part in everything and how things affect you. This helps you clarify your values and tidy up your finances as the week progresses. You have good money sense now and the middle of the week favors discussing money with your mate and working on things like sales and profit margins at work. Yes, a cardinal Libra full moon in your 4th house of home and psychological foundations can affect you deeply this weekend. With so many opposing planets in your 10th house of career in the trail-blazing sign of Aries, it is difficult to give as much time and attention to home and family as you may have been giving to your career. It may sound cliche, but it's not about how much time you spend at home - it's the quality of that time. Do you give your home and family attention when you are there or is your mind still at work? When difficult emotions come up, do you bury them or take the time to examine them and process them? Some downtime this weekend can help you put life into perspective.

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Disturbing thoughts, anxiety, stress, and worry may have piled up, Leo. Maybe you've been watching too much news or trying to do too many things at once. Take Monday off, if you can, and spend the day identifying and releasing your current psychic clutter. The middle of the week brings the moon to your sign along with some dynamic, energizing aspects. To maximize the good energy, you've got to clear out the negatives. The expressions, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush," and, "Don't count your chickens before they are hatched," can be applied to your finances now. When dealing with money, stick to cash as much as possible and don't project too far into the future. Take care of each thing in turn as it presents itself and things should go smoothly. The full moon in your 3rd house of local travel, your neighborhood, early education, and siblings can affect your thoughts, communication, and travel. It is important to simplify and prioritize now. Some Leos may have lessons in perceptions, judgment, and equality. Do you think you are better than others or they are better than you in some way? This moon can help you see we are all one. If you have been striving to get ahead, you may see how your belief in less than/greater than has limited you. On the mundane level, take extra care with cars, travel, and communications. This Mercury retrograde is intensified by the other planetary transits in your chart.

Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
There is something you must do or decide upon entirely alone, Virgo. You can discuss things with friends, a group, or a partner, but they are not you, and you will not feel fulfilled unless you know what it is that you want. Did you see the movie "Runaway Bride"? The character played by Julia Roberts keeps adapting to each new partner. Whatever they do, she does. She doesn't even know how she likes to have her eggs cooked. When she gets to the altar, she bolts because deep down she is aware that she doesn't really know what she wants. Take stock of your dreams and your likes and dislikes this week. Don't seek other people's advice or opinions. A distillation process is going on in your mind and emotions, with the end result being a refined "you." The full moon in your 2nd house of money and personal values also activates the planets in your 8th house of shared resources, investments, inheritances, business partnership, insurance, sex, death, and taxes. Bring your money and resources into balance, look ahead, and make a new budget or business plan that best meets your own needs.

Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
The full moon this weekend occurs in your sign, Libra. The full moon usually marks a culmination or end of a cycle when something comes to maturity. For many Libras, feeling older, more mature, responsible, or committed to a certain course of action is what this month's Libra moon will bring. Except for a midweek respite when you connect with friends or socialize with a group, the week highlights all the key areas of life: self, relationship, home, and career. It seems like the cardinal signs have been dealing with the "basics" a lot more than many of the other signs. When I wondered, "Why?" I heard that it's your role as a cardinal sign to be a leader. We are all moving through some trying times of upset and change. When the most important areas of your life become challenging, the rest of us - who are the fixed and mutable signs - take our cue from you. The full moon may make you feel that you are barely enough and you can't see how you can do it all. Be true to yourself and you will be leading a life that is an example to others. What more can you do?

Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
Be on Mercury retrograde alert early this week, Scorpio. Some challenging aspects to areas of your chart that rule thinking, communication, and transportation are in effect. They all point back to your house of work, service, and health. I can't tell you to be cheery and upbeat if you just can't feel it. In fact, Scorpio has a particular fatalistic, grim determination that often emerges as a last resort when things get threatening. When you back a Scorpio into a corner, watch out for the stinger. The middle of the week looks so much better for personal success, ease, and flow - and I'll bet your dark side had something to do with turning tables in your favor. Near the end of the week, a situation could develop where you wish you could help a friend, but can't or shouldn't, or it could be that you reach out to a friend or organization for help, but it is not forthcoming. The full moon falls in the 12th house of the subconscious and the collective of society. You may be faced with a work or health challenge or even a spiritual crisis that pushes you to find your own core of personal power. Dig deep to find what may be standing in the way of you having what you desire. Is your own fear or negativity holding you back?

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
Lay low and keep your cool on Monday, Sagittarius. The more you try to make something go your way, the more frustrated you may become. Avoid large financial transactions or making investments on Monday, as well. Once Monday is out of the way, things get back to normal and you are back in harmony with other people. You may do some traveling midweek or focus on generating creative ideas or making contacts and sales. One idea may be related to your home or some property. You could do something to improve your existing home or find a way to purchase a dream home. To keep a home, you may have to sacrifice some time at home so you can work more hours to make more money, but you know it will be worthwhile to do so. The full moon this weekend is in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, and wish fulfillment. Have you been trying too hard to please others or be someone you are not in order to fit in and be accepted? Have you been compromising your own creativity in order to find a market for your work? Think of how you can be with others and maintain your individuality.

Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
The planets are pushing you to deeper levels of psychological release and personal transformation, Capricorn. If you have a partner, they may feel they barely know you now. You are not sure that you know yourself, since so many hidden aspects of your past and programming may be coming to light. The moon makes a transit midweek that encourages you to have healing conversations with the people closest to you. Some healing self-talk is important, too. You may be tempted to beat yourself up emotionally, but that is the last thing you should do. Be grateful for new levels of awareness and forgive yourself for anything you find that is dark or uncomfortable. Show yourself the same compassion you would show others. The full moon takes place in your 10th house of career and reputation in the outer world. You may be very critical of your work and accomplishments now. Have you been doing your true work? Does it represent who you really are, or must you be false somehow in order to do your job? Whatever doesn't feel right or fair must be addressed. Some Capricorns may decide to be self-employed after this full moon passes.

Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
So many great ideas, but not enough time or money to see them all to fruition could be your complaint at the beginning of the week, Aquarius. I should know - I am an Aquarius. My Aquarius brother once commented that he should go into the business of selling ideas. Right now, any Aquarius could be an idea broker! What can I say but make a list, pick the best, and see what it takes to follow through. Wait for Mercury to go direct after April 23rd before launching anything. I know all that impatient Aries energy in your idea part of the chart hates to wait, but you can do plenty of research to fill the time. A mate or business partner believes in you and gives you encouragement this week. The full moon in your 9th house of higher education, foreign travel, and philosophy activates the Aries 3rd house planets. The full moon question is: How do you make your ideas grow up into serious solid fact, be it a business, a novel, a relocation, or a return to school?

Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
The planets support you well in areas of life that appeal to your creative and romantic nature, Pisces. I do have to warn you to keep a tight rein on spending at the start of the week, though. Friendships, art, and entertainment can all be costly, or an organization may be the wrong one for you to do business with now. Beware of MLM opportunities. You have a little more of the gullible gene than the other signs and you easily believe the hype. The best way for you to make money now is to show up and do the work, whatever that may be. If you are an artist, teacher, or performer, the middle of the week can be fun and successful for you and bring you some welcome attention or rewards besides money. Romance comes in your own special flavor now. The full moon in your 8th house of sex, death, taxes, insurance, inheritance, investments, and business partnerships activates your 2nd house of money and personal values. If you have been indecisive, immature, or irresponsible in these areas, it is time to make a fresh start and do the things you know you need to in order to thrive financially. Don't be afraid to learn new things about money management or investing. And don't tell me you are not good at math - get a calculator.
