Astrological Trends for May 21-27, 2010

Here is your energy lookout for the week ahead. Like checking the weather to know how to dress, it makes good sense to check the planetary energy patterns to know how to plan your days. This forecast looks at the current transits of the planets in relation to society as a whole. Your own natal, or birth, chart is also impacted by the current transits, and your own experiences this week will also be affected by your own unique chart pattern. I am available for general readings by phone or text chat at LivePsyche or you can make arrangements for in-depth chart readings here.

This week you will gradually feel your emotions intensify as the Moon waxes fuller with each passing day until it becomes full on Thursday, May 27th. Venus moved into the emotionally sensitive sign of Cancer on May 20th. The Moon is Cancer’s ruler and Venus is the planet of comfort, pleasure, and the affectionate nature, making this week an ideal time for mooning, swooning, and spooning.

On Friday, May 21st, you may regret being the person who has had all the answers and expertise lately, because everyone is turning to you. Aspects between Saturn and the Sun and Saturn parallel the Moon place the focus on production and indicate that you will be expected to do what feels like more than your fair share, while Saturn is still in conflict with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Supportive aspects between Venus and Neptune and Neptune and Saturn tell me that you will reap rewards, emotional or financial, for putting in the extra effort. That Venus/Neptune energy makes Friday night prime time for creating romantic memories with someone special or meeting the love of your life.

A Moon/Saturn conjunction in Virgo on Saturday, May 22nd, is a sobering energy. In the practical areas of life, you can put this energy to good use by cleaning out clutter and eliminating items you no longer need. On the emotional level, you may be feeling fatalistic about a situation or person, seeing the glass half empty. Keep the faith – this is just a passing mood. Venus and Pluto set up an opposing dance and the possibility of attracting unrequited love scenarios increases now. And due to today’s Moon/Saturn energy, if you find yourself wildly attracted to someone who is just not a good fit in your life, you may feel you have to have them anyway, no matter what. If you are single and looking, it may be a good time to refresh your list of qualifications you find necessary in a potential partner, now that Venus and Pluto are creating a force field of magnetic sexual energy – you might get sucked into a vortex of pure passion, otherwise!

Moon in Libra on Sunday, May 23rd, carries on the relationship vibe that seems dominant this week. The Sun is intensified by Pluto now, and you feel the need to consider your own self first. The Libra Moon activates Mercury in Taurus and you may be thinking or talking about who you are, how you feel, what you require and desire. It is a day to take part in negotiations and come to understandings and agreements in all forms of relationship in any area of your life where you must co-operate with other people.

The Sun in the air sign of idea-oriented Gemini is still supported by Pluto in success-oriented Capricorn on Monday, May 24th. You can utilize this energy in your life by seeking out or initiating new ideas to solve nagging problems. There is potential now for you to experience a breakthrough or paradigm shift. Today, while the Moon is aspecting Mars in creative Leo, make a list of your problems or questions. While the Moon is parallel Neptune now, you can count on spiritual guidance being there to help you find the answers or solutions to what’s on your list. Another great exercise to try comes from the Abraham-Hicks material: On a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle from top to bottom. On one side, put “Things for me to do” and make your list. On the other side, put “Things for Spirit to do” and make a list. Hint: Put the seemingly impossible things on Spirit’s list!

Some strong geometry is happening on Tuesday, May 25th, forming a loose Mystic Rectangle, a configuration that works a lot like a charm or blessing. The energies involved are Moon in Scorpio, Venus in Cancer, Pluto in Capricorn, and Sun in Gemini. Think it, feel it, desire it and you can materialize it NOW. Venus also enhances Mercury today and Mercury is contra-parallel to Neptune, making this a wish-come-true day. If you had some impossibilities on yesterday’s list, they may become probabilities or realities today.

Ahhh…Wednesday’s aspects are primarily pleasant and benign. The Venus/Pluto intensity from earlier this week has subsided and you can feel the difference, can’t you – much less drama! Even with the Moon in moody Scorpio and Venus in sensitive Cancer and the Moon almost at its full point, not much will be making demands on your time – it almost feels as if today is a pause from the rest of the week. Everyone is floating about in their own watery, emotional bubble. You can open to your own intuitive guidance today by spending some quiet time near water; even a bath tub will do the trick. Because there are so few negative charges today and so much positive intuitive energy, it is a great time for you to speak to an intuitive expert for a psychic peek at your future.

Thursday, May 27th, has a similar smooth feel to the day, with almost the same energy patterns as yesterday. However, introversion fades as the Moon is now active and energized by the fire element of Sagittarius. A trine between the Moon and the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction may stimulate a deep desire within you to be free and to move ahead. If you paid attention and tuned in to the planetary support of the past several days, you will have a good idea of what you will do and how you will go about doing it. This lunation will bring some freshness into whatever area of life it shines, which is indicated by what house the sign of Sagittarius rules in your own natal chart. Full Moon is usually a time of completion, being considered the end of a cycle. This end cycle truly puts the past behind while reaching for the future, and wherever you experience this energy, you will not look back with any regret.
